in order to become a 911 operator you need to have at least a high school diploma and take a series of training that usually take anywhere from 3-6 months. Training involves learning how to use radio equipment and boardcasting as well communication skills and stress management. CPR certification and an emergency médical dispatch course mighty also be required. RESPONSIBILITIES AND OR DAILY ACTIVITIE: 911 operator receive eemergency call and obtain the information needed to decide the course of action that should be taken. They are required to create and maintaim logs call logs call to give a report as often as necessary. 911 operator decide how many and what kine of emergency services units are to be sent to the scene. While sending help 911 operation keep community with the callers and give first aid instructions if necessary.
